A year ago at a time when you would think HBO and DC would want to promote as much Green Lantern content as possible after announcing the upcoming HBO series ‘Lanterns’, HBO and DC made the bizarre decision on January 1, 2025 to remove all Green Lantern films and shows from its service. Well, all but the 2011 Green Lantern film starring Ryan Reynolds.
I now bring mostly positive news! HBO has wizened up and brought back all of the movies. That would be:
- Green Lantern: First Flight – PG 13 – 1 hour and 18 minutes – 2009.
- Green Lantern: Emerald Knight – PG 13 – 1 hour and 24 minutes – 2011.
- Green Lantern – PG 13 – 1 hour and 54 minutes – 2011.
- Green Lantern: Extended Cut – PG 13 – 2 hours and 4 minutes – 2011.
- Green Lantern: Beware My Power – PG 13 – 1 hour and 28 minutes – 2022.
- Green Lantern 2025 Featuring Superman – PG 13 – 2 hours and 10 minutes – 2025.

Yes, they even have the Superman movie from 2025 that we like to call Green Lantern 2025 Featuring Superman. And this might all seem like amazing news but there is one thing that is missing and for many Green Lantern fans it would be the one thing considered to be a cut above the rest. HBO and DC have not made Green Lantern: The Animated Series available on the service. It is a win that that all of the movies are available but the collection is not complete without our favorite show. Bring it back!
